All online lessons scheduled in advance require a $10.00 non-refundable deposit to hold the lesson time and compensate the instructor in the event the student fails to be available at the requested time.

Online lessons are $45.00 per hour and are conducted on the Internet and the phone simultaneously.  Before you can begin, you will need the following:

1. Set up a free acount with FICS (free internet chess server) www.freechess.org

2. Download their "Babaschess" interface.

3. Have the ability to be online and on the phone at the same time. (DSL, cable modem, second phone line, cell phone) (I pay for the call.)

If you would like to save $5.00 per lesson and your computer has speakers and a microphone, (available at any Office Depot or Office Max) you can install the free communication software, Skype and we can talk through our computers alleviating the need to make a long distance call.
